In these challenging economic times, when many businesses are hanging on by a thread, it’s important to remember that there is help out there – in the form of monetary assistance, training, and education to help improve profit margins. Some examples include a Working Lands Enterprise Initiative grant that will become available to Vermonters this October – it’s a business enhancement grant that can be used to cover a range of things, from forestry equipment to logging supplies and more. Also starting in October, are Forest Business School educational classes (limited spots) that teach business management skills. There are plenty more on the national level, too.
